EmpowerED Alternatives seeks to provide alternative learning opportunities for youth through programming, advocacy and research.

Upcoming Programs and Events

By the Great Wall of China

You must meet the following criteria:

  • Be in Grades 6-10 in the Greater Hartford area, CT

  • Preference given to Hartford students (depending on grant/ funding)

  • Be in good academic and behavioral standing

  • Be willing to travel and meet new people

  • Be able to attend daily sessions for 5 weeks​​

Program Information:

  • 5 Weeks July7th-August 8th

  • Weeks 1 and 2

    • In Hartford​

    • 9:00am-1:30pm

  • Weeks 3 and 4

    • ​In Beijing and Chongqing, China​

    • 8:00am-10:00pm

  • Week 5

    • In Hartford​

    • 9:00am-1:30pm
